On November 13, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit granted, in part, the government’s motion for an emergency stay of the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii’s October 17, preliminary injunction of Presidential Proclamation 9645 (P.P).  Nationals of Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen who do not have a credible claim to a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States are subject to the restrictions and limitations in the P.P. Attention All Applicants:

Before you schedule an appointment, you must update your profile with your current DS-160 barcode number.  Then, when you schedule your appointment, you must use the same exact barcode number from your current DS-160.  If you come to your interview with any other barcode, you will be turned away and will need to make a new appointment using your current DS-160 barcode. Please bring the printouts of your DS-160 Confirmation and Appointment Confirmation to your interview.

 

SR, I5, R5 Program Expires Dec 8, 2017

SR, I5 and R5 visas may only be issued prior to December 8, 2017.  After this date, no SR, I5 or R5 visas may be issued until this program is reauthorized by the U.S. Congress.  If you have been scheduled an SR, I5 or R5 interview, please do not try to reschedule your interview after December 8, 2017.  Please also prepare all documents listed at: https://vn.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/40/IV-APPOINTMENT-PACKAGE.pdf and have them ready for your interview to make sure you can be issued a visa before December 8, 2017.
