Applicants residing in Belarus

Important information for Residents of Belarus

As a result of the Russian government’s personnel cap imposed on the U.S. Mission, Belorussian applicants cannot apply for a visa in Russia.

Only those applicants who had previously-scheduled appointments that were subsequently cancelled following the implementation of the personnel cap can reschedule their appointments in Moscow.

Visa payments are nonrefundable.

Visa fees are not transferrable outside the country in which the fee was paid. If you wish to apply outside Russia, you would need to begin a new application and pay the fee according to that location’s instructions.

Please consult the U.S. Embassy in Minsk’s nonimmigrant visa information page for details about which first-time and renewal nonimmigrant applications are accepted by the Embassy in Minsk.

Document delivery for visa applications processed at the U.S. Embassy/Consulates in Russia is possible only within the Russian Federation. Please do not enter a delivery address in Belarus or any other location outside Russia in your website profile. This will delay the return of your passport. You may also choose to collect your passport from the Pony Express office. To find visa collection locations, click here.
