If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned by one of the two options described below.

Home Delivery with DHL Norway

This service is free of charge and your passport will be delivered to the address you previously indicated during the appointment scheduling process.

You will receive a notification via e-mail and SMS as soon as your passport is ready to be delivered to you.

Please provide a valid home or work address for delivery. Post boxes cannot be used.

The passport will only be delivered against a signature by a person at the address mentioned.


Premium Home Delivery with Jetpak

Your passport is returned to your home address via a guaranteed next business day delivery type. This service is subject to paying a fee which starts from 495NOK + VAT, depending on the delivery address.

You will be contacted via telephone and e-mail by Jetpak Courier Service, to agree on the delivery date, time and payment options as soon as your passport is ready to be delivered to you.

If the delivery is unsuccessful, Jetpak will hold your passport for one week. After that, it will be returned to the Embassy.

Change Delivery Options

Important note: please note that you can change your selected delivery option no later than one business day before your interview. You can do the change from your profile by clicking on Change Document Delivery information and, once the changes are made, by clicking on the Continue button. We suggest you call Jetpak customer service in advance and request a calculation of the delivery service based on where you want the passport to be delivered.

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until midnight before the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.

We strongly advise you not to change the pickup location after the time limit. Any changes to your desired pickup location after this time limit will lead to a delay in your passport delivery.


Check the Status of Your Visa

You can check the status of your application any time at this website: Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.


Passport Tracking Options

For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

The status of the passport delivery can be traced on DHL Norway web site using the tracking number you received at the email address provided in your profile on our website.

If you selected the Premium Delivery service option please contact Jetpak customer service at 915 09899 (From abroad: +47 91509899) regarding the status of your delivery.

If your status shows "Origination scan", it means your passport has left the Embassy or Consulate is on its way to the delivery location you have chosen. It is however not available yet.

When the status shows "Ready for pick up", it means that DHL Norway is about to deliver your passport at the address indicated during the appointment scheduling process.

The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.

Email: Send an e-mail to and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.
