Overview

A-1 and A-2 visas, as well as G-1 through G-4 visas may be issued to diplomats and other government officials for official travel to the United States. Generally, the type of visa required by a diplomat or other government official depends upon their purpose of travel to the United States. There are very specific requirements which must be met by applicants in order to qualify for A, G or NATO visas under U.S. immigration law. These visa classes should not be used for personal travel.

Applications for A-1 , A-2, and G-1 through G-4 visas may be submitted by courier to the Consulate from accredited diplomatic missions or Government of Morocco ministries in Rabat. A diplomatic note must accompany all applications to include the following information: (1) Name of traveler; (2) job title in the ministry or department; (3) reason for travel; (4).date of travel; (5) city/cities to visit. Applicants should send the passports, confirmation page of the DS-160, a new 5x5 photo via courier for drop-off at the Consulate in Casablanca from Monday through Fridays between 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Applications for A-3 and G-5 visas may be submitted directly to the Consulate. Applications must be accompanied by a diplomatic note or, for international organizations, an official letter requesting the issuance of a G visa. The letter should include the following information: (1) Name of traveler; (2) job title in the organization; (3) Reason for travel; (4) date of travel; (5) city/cities to visit; Do not pay an MRV visa application fee through this site, as it will not be refunded.
