Once your visa is approved, Post Fiji will deliver your passport to the location within Fiji that you have specified when you scheduled your appointment. For certain applications, interview waiver and LNIV, the passports can be returned to the DHL office in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. There are no extra fees associated with this service.

It is important to note that passport delivery times for locations in Fiji outside of Viti Levu may be extensive.


  1. Home or Office delivery is only possible to an address located within Fiji. We cannot deliver to addresses outside of Fiji.
  2. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT to ensure that he/she has selected/entered the correct address in the online profile.
  3. If you have selected/entered an incorrect/inaccurate address, the DELIVERY OF YOUR PASSPORT WILL BE DELAYED, and your package may not be re-delivered to a new delivery address and/or the passport may be returned to the U.S. Embassy in Fiji.
  4. When you select a “Home Delivery” or “Office Delivery” option, it means that your passport will be sent to the address of your home or office that you have entered in your profile, whichever is applicable.
  5. When you select a “Pick-up” option for the delivery of your passport, you will be provided with the list of PICKUP POINTS FOR POST FIJI to choose from. We strongly advise that you choose the correct Post Fiji pickup point as the package may not be re-delivered to a new delivery address if you have made a mistake. Please note that the U.S. Embassy in Fiji is not listed as a PICKUP POINT for your passport.


Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until 11:59 p.m. the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status. If your passport is ready for pick-up, please collect it in a timely manner and bring supporting documents. If your passport is not collected in a timely manner it will be sent back to the Embassy or Consulate.


Email: You may also send an email to In the subject and/or body enter only a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not enter any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.

Collecting Your Passport/Visa

If you chose to collect your passport/visa at a Post Fiji office, you will need to visit Post Fiji during normal business hours. To find the Post Fiji office nearest to you, click here.

If you submitted an interview waiver or LNIV application, you have the option to pick up your passport/document in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. The pickup location is the DHL office located at the Fakafanua Center in Nuku'alofa, Tonga.

Note: A pickup in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, is only possible subject to the approval of the U.S. Embassy in Suva.

Important: When your passport/document is ready for pickup, you will be notified via email and text message. Please ensure that your contact details in your profile are correct.

Supporting Documents

To collect your passport you must present your original (not a photocopy) government-issued photo ID. We recommend you also bring a printed copy of your appointment letter. Please note that below criteria for passports collection is also mandatory for deliveries to home addresses, post box addresses and office deliveries.

If a representative is collecting or receiving your passport on your behalf - even in case of family members - the representative must present:

  • Their own original government-issued photo ID for identification
  • A photocopy of your government-issued photo ID
  • A letter of authority, signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport. The letter of authority must contain the following information:
    • Your representative's full name as shown on their government-issued photo ID
    • Letter must also contain all your personal information including passport number, full name and if possible UID number which can’t be found in your profile when you login to schedule appointment

If the applicant is under the age of 16, the following documents are required:

  • An original, signed letter of authority from either of the applicant's parents
  • A clear photocopy of the government-issued photo ID belonging to the parent who signed the applicant's letter of authority
  • The representative's original government-issued photo ID
    Note: In case of a group/family, a single letter of authority with the required information for each of the applicants will be accepted.
