Starting with September 6, 2022 a new free of charge document pickup location is available.
Overview
If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned by Messenger Courier Service using one of the services below.
- Collection from the Pickup Location - free of charge
Messenger Office - Mladoboleslavská 1120, Prague 19, 19700, Kbely (MAP)
Open: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00
You will be able to pick up your passport ONLY after receiving the notification that your passport has arrived at the location!
- Premium Home Delivery - 387 CZK (per applicant)
Depending on the address indicated in the profile, your documents will be sent to your home or office with Messenger Courier services.
The cost of the delivery is 387 CZK (per applicant), paid with a credit or debit card directly to the courier upon delivering your documents.
Please make sure you provide a correct and complete address in the Czech Republic, along with at least one correct phone number.
You will receive a notification via e-mail and SMS as soon as your passport is ready to pickup or delivery.
If you have selected personal pickup from the pickup location, please note that the passport will be ready for your pickup the next business day from the day you receive the notification that your passport was released.
The delivery timeline is 1 - 3 business days.
During the delivery process, Messenger will make 3 delivery attempts. If unsuccessful, the passport will be returned to the US Embassy in Prague.

Check the Status of Your Visa
You can check the status of your application any time at this website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx. Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.
Passport Tracking Options
For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.
Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status.
If your status shows "origination scan", it means your passport has left the Embassy or Consulate is on its way to the delivery location you have chosen. It is however not available yet.
When the status shows "Ready for Pickup", it means that Courier Service is about to deliver your passport at the address indicated during the appointment scheduling process.
The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.
Email: Send an e-mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.
