Overview

 PLEASE NOTE: if you are applying as a family group, and members of your family are (1) under the age of 14 or over the age of 80, (2) are residents or citizens of Tunisia or Libya, and (3) have never been denied a visa to the United States, these individuals do not need a visa appointment.  Please bring their DS-160 and proof of payment for their visa to your visa appointment (plus their birth certificate in the case of children under the age of 14).

Q: Do children need a visa?
A: All travelers, including children, need a visa to travel to the United States or must qualify to travel without a visa through a special program, such as the Visa Waiver Program.

Q: Do children pay the same application fee as adults?
A: Yes, they do.

Q: Do children need to schedule an interview appointment?
A: Every applicant requires an appointment.

Q: Do all children have to come in person for their appointment?
A: Yes all applicants (including children and infants) must appear for an interview.
