If your application is approved, your passport, including your new visa, will be delivered by one of two methods:
- Premium Delivery: If you select this option, we will send your passport to your home or office via TNT courier. There is an additional fee of 24 RON for this service, which is paid directly to TNT on delivery.
- TNT Pick-up: You may pick up your passport at the TNT pick-up location you specified when you scheduled your interview. This option is free.
Note: Please provide us with your mobile phone number and email address so that we may contact you for information on your passport delivery.
Change Delivery Options
You may change your preferred document delivery pick-up locations online or through the call center until 11:59 p.m. the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your pick-up location.
Passport Tracking Options
For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.
Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status. If your passport is ready for pick-up, please bring supporting documents and collect it in a timely manner. If your passport is not collected in a timely manner it will be sent back to the Embassy or Consulate.
Email: Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.
Online: You can track your passport online here.
Chat and Telephone: You can track your passport with the assistance of our call center via chat or telephone. The call center's contact information and a full description of our call center services, including hours of operation, can be found here.
Collecting Your Documents
- Premium Delivery Option
If you choose the Premium Delivery option, TNT will contact you to schedule a date and time for delivery. Someone must be present at your home or office when the courier comes to deliver your passport. Please note that TNT will make a limited number of attempts to deliver the passport(s) to your home or office address. If you are not present to receive your passport, it will be returned to the Embassy.
- TNT Pick-up Option
TNT has facilities where your passport can be held for pick-up. When scheduling your interview you will have the opportunity to select a convenient TNT pick-up location. Please provide your current email address when you select your pick-up location. You will receive an email when your passport arrives at the pick-up location.
Please note that TNT will only hold passports for 10 business days from the date that you receive an email confirmation that your passport has arrived at the pick-up location. Failure to pick up your passport within this time may cause delays in the receipt of your passport. After 10 business days, your passport will be returned to the Embassy and you will then need to wait for instructions on how to collect your passport.

Same-day Pickup Location
TNT Express has identified one branch location in Bucharest as the location where you can pick up the passport on the same day as we receive it from the Embassy. Should you have an emergency case or need to pick up your passport early, please select the following TNT Express office as your pickup location. Please note that by selecting this location, you are not applying for expedited visa processing. Your passport will be available for collection once the visa is processed and the Embassy has handed it over to TNT Express for delivery.

You must present an original government-issued photo identification document to retrieve your passport. You will also need to have your User ID (UID) available (you can find your UID on your appointment confirmation letter).
If someone other than yourself is retrieving your passport, your representative must present:
- The representative’s own government-issued identification document AND
- A photocopy of the applicant’s government-issued identification document AND
- A letter of authority, signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport
The letter of authority must contain the following information:
- Your representative's full name as shown on their government-issued identification document AND
- Your name and date of birth
If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present for passport pick-up and must show his/her government-issued identification document. They will also need to have a photocopy of your passport. If this is not available, they may bring your birth certificate or government issued identification document.
Note: In case of a group/family, a single letter of authority with the required information for each of the applicants is acceptable.
