Once your visa is approved, the DHL document collection office will hold your passport for you at the address that you specified when you scheduled your appointment. Your passport can be collected only at the address you specified when you scheduled your visa interview. There are no extra fees associated with this service. The cost for the DHL document collection office to hold your visa and passport is included in the visa application fee.
Premium Delivery Services (Port Harcourt):
Applicants who interview in Lagos or Abuja may choose to pick up their passports in Port Harcourt. If you decide to choose the premium delivery (Port Harcourt), please note that the cost of this service is N4000 (Four thousand naira only). You may also drop off your passports at this location if you qualify for dropbox. To drop off or collect your passport at the Port Harcourt location, you must present an original government –issued photo ID and a photo copy. If someone is picking up on your behalf, the representative must provide a proxy letter signed by you and a government issued photo ID and a photo copy.
Change Delivery Options (Lagos Only)
You may change your preferred document delivery address online until 11:59pm a day prior to your interview or through the call center between 9am to 7pm a day prior to your interview. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.
Passport Tracking Options
You can track your passport by:
INSTANT: Enter your passport number below to check on the status. If your passport is ready for pick-up, please bring supporting documents and collect it in a timely manner. If your passport is not collected in a timely manner it will be sent back to the Embassy or Consulate.
EMAIL: Send an email to email@example.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled, and you will receive an automatic response with the status.

Collecting Your Passport/Visa
You will see a list of DHL document collection office locations when you schedule your interview appointment and can choose the most convenient location from that list.
To collect your passport you must present your original (not a photocopy) government-issued photo ID. We recommend you also bring a printed copy of your appointment letter.
If a representative is collecting your passport from the document collection office on your behalf - even in case of family members - the representative must present:
- Their own original government-issued photo ID for identification
- A photocopy of your government-issued photo ID
- A Proxy letter signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport, this form will be given to you after your interview. The proxy letter must contain the following information:
- Your representative's full name as shown on their government-issued photo ID
- Your name
If the applicant is under the age of 16, the following documents are required:
- An original, signed letter of authority from either of the applicant's parents
- A clear photocopy of the government-issued photo ID belonging to the parent who signed the applicant's letter of authority
- The representative's original government-issued photo ID
Note: In case of a group/family, a single letter of authority with the required information for each of the applicants will be accepted.
