Overview:

If you are renewing a B1/B2, F, M, or J visa, you may qualify for an Interview Waiver/Drop-Off service (without a visa interview) and you may schedule a Visa Renewal Without Interview appointment to submit your visa applications to VFS Global, Phnom Penh Tower, 12th Floor, Preah Monivong (St. 93) corner, St. 232, 120308 Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, provided you meet all of the qualifications listed below. If you do not, click here to request an in-person interview. 

Qualifications:

  • You are a national or a resident of Cambodia, and you must be physically present in Cambodia.
  • You are renewing the same visa category (B1/B2, F, M or J) as the previous visa, which is still valid or has been expired for less than 48 months.
  • You have never been denied entry to the United States.
  • You have never been refused a U.S. visa, or if you were refused a U.S. visa before, you were subsequently issued that same visa type.
  • Your name, date of birth and nationality on your passport match your previous visa.
  • Your previous visa was issued after you reached 14 years of age. If not, you may be required to scan fingerprints and/or interview. 

Notes:

For F and M renewals, applicants must either:

        (a)   continue participation in the same program even at a different institution; or

        (b)   be attending the same institution even in a different program.

For J renewals, the SEVIS number must match the prior DS-2019.

How to apply:

Important Notice:

  • A fee payment receipt entitles an applicant to ONLY one scheduled appointment to drop off the application for the Renewal Interview Waiver Service.
  • The Visa Renewal Without Interview service does not guarantee visa issuance. In some cases, applicants may still be required to appear for an in-person visa interview at the Consular section. 
  • The normal processing time for Visa Renewal Without Interview take approximately 5-7 business days. If your travel is urgent, you may consider schedule the appointment online for an in-person interview. 

Step 1:

Complete visa application form DS-160. Please make sure you are using the most current DS-160 confirmation barcode.  

Read the Guidelines for Completing the Form DS-160 carefully. All information must be accurate.  

Step 2:

Please read the instructions here and pay your visa application fee. Be sure to keep your 12-digit receipt number issued after payment. If you are applying for an F, J, or M visa, you must additionally pay the required I-901 SEVIS fee and submit the payment confirmation form. 

Step 3:

Once you have submitted the DS-160 and pay the visa application fee, please log in to your profile, click “New Application / Schedule Appointment” then select “Submission of visa applications for B1/B2, F, M, or J visa without interview”, and answer the questions to determine if you are eligible to schedule an appointment for renewing your visa without an interview. Please prepare the following documents and information before you start the scheduling process:

  • Your passport number
  • The receipt number from your visa application fee receipt. (Click here if you need help finding this number.)
  • The ten (10) digit barcode number from your DS-160 confirmation page  

Required documents to submit to VFS Global, Phnom Penh Tower, 12th Floor, Preah Monivong (St. 93) corner, St. 232, 120308 Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia. : 

  1. A valid passport for travel to the United States with validity remaining at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States.
  2. A print out of DS-160 confirmation page with a barcode.
  3. One color photograph 5cmx5cm (2x2 inches) taken against a white background within the last 6 months (see requirements here) *Please note that eyeglasses are not allowed in photos. 
  4. Visa application fee receipt from the Cathay United Bank or VFS Global.
  5. A printout of appointment Confirmation Page.

  • Original form I-20 or original form DS-2019.
  • The student’s official transcripts.
