Group of 10 or more individuals travelling together may request a group appointment. Examples of groups include, but are not limited to, performing artists, school trips, professional trainees and tour groups.
Families and relatives travelling together do not qualify as a group and must request individual appointments.
How to Apply
Please note: The U.S. Consulate in Kolkata does not accept group appointments at this time
Request a group appointment using the online appointment system. Groups, including performing groups, are encouraged to upload a detailed itinerary of their travel in the U.S. when making the online appointment request. Once you have submitted your request, please wait for a response from the Embassy or Consulate, which will come via email.
Please do not add any group members/dependents before you have received an email saying your group request has received approval from the Embassy or Consulate. You will add the group members/dependents after you have received the email confirmation only.
If the Embassy or Consulate approves your request then you will receive an email alerting you to schedule appointments for each member of your group. Please understand that the call center cannot schedule appointments for you, but agents are able to assist if questions arise. Should the Embassy or Consulate deny the request for a group appointment, you will be notified of the denial by email and each group member must schedule individual appointments.
Note: The email confirming or denying your request will come from email@example.com. Some email applications have rules which filter unknown senders into a spam or junk mail folder. If you have not received your email notification, please look for the message in your junk and spam email folders.
Each group member must pay the visa application fee. In the case of making a bulk fee payment, you will have received only one receipt number per transaction and will use this receipt number for each valid MRV fee paid.
NOTICE: It is possible to make a bulk payment using the NEFT platform. Please choose the appropriate visa type and quantity below. After selecting the quantity, your browser will automatically be redirected to the page containing payment instructions.
