Holidays and Closures

Overview

The U.S. Embassy in Banjul observes both U.S. and Gambian holidays and will be closed on those dates. The visa application services call center also observes U.S. and Gambian holidays and will also be closed on those dates. The dates for some Gambian holidays are based on the lunar calendar and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, additional holidays are occasionally declared at short notice by the Gambian Government. If the U.S. Embassy is not open on the date of your interview due to one of these events, please contact the call center to reschedule your appointment.
