Passport/Visa Collection Locations

On this page:

Overview

If your visa application is approved, your passport will be returned by Postnord at the pick-up location that you selected during the appointment scheduling process. You will be notified via e-mail or SMS when the passport is ready for pick-up. That notification will contain the Track& Trace number and the link to the status of the shipment.

Your passport will be sent to the closest Post Office, post shop or package rack (in this case PostNord Denmark will provide you with a PIN number via SMS or e-mail) of the address you provide in your profile. You will be informed via email where you can pick up your passport.
If you do not have a private Danish address, please select Business Address for delivery option and you can pick up your passport at Postnord screening center:

Post Nord A / S
Screening Center East
Oliefabriksvej 51 A
2770 Kastrup
Note: Pickups are by the same entrance as P.O boxes.

You will be notified via e-mail and SMS as soon as the passport is ready for pickup.
When picking-up the passport from the Post Office or Postnord screening center you will be required to show a photo ID or a copy of your passport and the notification from Postnord.

If somebody else wants to pick-up the passport on your behalf, that person will have to present a photo ID and a written authorization from you to the Post Office.

If you want your passport to be sent to Faroe Island or Greenland, please, prepare a self-addressed envelope with your name and address and take it with you to the Embassy for the interview. No stamps needed.

You must collect your passport within 14 calendar days (including Saturdays and Sundays) from the Post office. After that, the passport will be returned to the Embassy/Consulate.

Note! To locate your post office or service point, please visit Postnord here.

Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until midnight before the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.

We strongly advise you not to change the pickup location after the time limit. Any changes to your desired pickup location after this time limit will lead to a delay in your passport delivery.

Check the Status of Your Visa

You can check the status of your application any time at this website:
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx. Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.

Passport Tracking Options

Besides the link indicated by Post Denmark, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status.

If the status shows "Passport has been received from the Consular Section and is currently being processed for delivery", it means your passport was released by Embassy or Consulate and is on its way to the sorting facilities. It is however not available yet.

When the status shows "Out for Delivery" it means the passport is ready for pick-up from the Post Office.

The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.

Email: Send an e-mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.

Online: You can track your passport online here.
