Overview

If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned by Messenger Courier Service.

You may choose to have your passport returned to your home/business address in an envelope to the address you have previously indicated during the appointment scheduling process (Premium Delivery), or you choose to collect the passport from one of the Messenger pickup locations.

You will receive a notification via e-mail and SMS as soon as your passport is ready for pickup or to be delivered to you.

Pick-up from Messenger Locations

If you select this delivery option, the passport can be collected free of charge from Messenger locations listed below:

  • Messenger Office - Prague 5, Libínská 3127/1 (entrance to the office is from CHURANOVSKA street) Please check the directions and the map of the location.
  • Messenger Hub - Prague 9, Ve Žlíbku 1800 (warehouse area BIG BOX)

You will be notified via email and SMS once the passport is ready for pick-up from the respective location.

Messenger will store your passport for a period of 15 calendar days. After that the passport will be returned to the Embassy.

Important: You are required to present a photo ID  when collecting the passport. If somebody else (family member or third party) will pick-up the passport on your behalf, that person will have to present the appointment confirmation letter of your visa interview and a valid photo ID.

Premium Home Delivery with Messenger

With this delivery option, your documents will be returned to your home/office using Messenger services.There is an additional fee to be paid for this service, in the amount of 310 CZK. This premium fee is paid at the time of scheduling the visa interview.

The delivery timeline is 1 - 3 business days. During the delivery process, Messenger will make 3 delivery attempts. If unsuccessful, the passport will be returned to the Messenger - Libínská Pickup location (Libínská 3127/1, Prague 5) - and stored  for 10 calendar days. During this time period, you will be able to collect the passport free of charge from the respective location. Should you not collect it during this time period, the passport will be returned to the US Embassy.

Note!

In the event that an applicant’s MRV Visa is refused, applicants are entitled to a refund of the Premium Service (Home Delivery) fee as purchased by Credit/Debit Card on the www.gtspremium.com website only. Within 5 business days of the Visa refusal, applicants must send an email to refunds@gtspremium.com with a copy of their refusal letter which must contain their DS-160 number. Once received, GTS will review the refund request and once validated GTS will issue a refund to the applicant’s card on file within 10 business days. Applicants who applied via a group payment and who were denied a Visa are also entitled to a refund by following the above steps. Refunds are not permitted under any other circumstances.

Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until midnight before the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.

We strongly advise you not to change the pickup location after the time limit. Any changes to your desired pickup location after this time limit will lead to a delay in your passport delivery.

Check the Status of Your Visa

You can check the status of your application any time at this website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx. Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.

For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status.

 

 

If your status shows "origination scan", it means your passport has left the Embassy or Consulate is on its way to the delivery location you have chosen. It is however not available yet.

When the status shows "ready for pick up", it means that Czech Post is about to deliver your passport at the address indicated during the appointment scheduling process or, if a notification has been dropped by the mailman into your mailbox, your passport has been forwarded to the nearest Czech Post office and you can pick it up from there.

The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.

Email: Send an e-mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.
